Haley Willis is a video journalist with the Visual Investigations team at the New York Times, which combines traditional reporting with digital and open source methods to break news and hold the powerful to account. Some of her recent work focused on police killings during traffic stops, civilian casualty assessments from the U.S. air war in the Middle East, and Russian atrocities in Ukraine. These and other investigations have shared in a number of awards, including three Pulitzer Prizes, three George Polk Awards, and a News Emmy. Prior to joining The Times, Haley worked as a researcher with the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law.
